12th NOVEMBER -  ALL ROADS HEAD TO ADELAIDE CCI****

In what must be one of the most eagerly anticipated events in Australia for the last few years there is a great field assembled to battle it out for the $AUS100,000 prize pool on offer. The winner will walk away with $35,000. Wayne Copping is once again the course builder at Australia’s premier event and the only CCI**** in the Southern Hemisphere.

I am very confident that Billy is in super shape in what will be his toughest challenge. His preparation has been perfect with a win at Camden in late August, followed by a very close 2nd at Sydney CCI*** in September and 2 good runs at Goulburn CIC*** (5th) and Canberra CIC*** (3rd).

I think the horses that will be hardest to beat will be Christine Bates and Adelaide Hill, Emma Mason and F1 Pharinelli, Stuart Tinney on both his rides Panamera and Pluto Mio and Shane Rose and Taurus. The wild card is most certainly Megan Jones on her very experienced campaigner Kirby Park Irish Jester. Jester has been on the sidelines for some 9 months and if he is able to recreate any of his former glory, including winning at Adelaide CCI**** and 4th at the Beijing 2008 Olympics, he will be very hard to beat.

11th NOVEMBER - EQUITANA HEADS TO SYDNEY FOR THE FIRST TIME

Equitana, the largest horse exhibition in Australia, is being held over 4 days this week, Thursday 10th to Sunday 13th, at Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush. This will feature every single thing to do with horses and all the disciplines and everything associated with them. The main highlight for eventing fans will be the Equestrian Grand Final Exhibition Eventing. This class, late on Sunday afternoon, features a strong field of 15 – 8 who won their spots at Melbourne and Sydney Royals, and 7 by invitation.

This event will be replayed on Channel 9 at midday on January 1st. I will be riding Mercator Du Ry, which i think will be well suited to this format. The very next day (8 hours later) Mercator and Billy will be on the road to Adelaide. Mercator will be ridden by Sophie at Adelaide in the CIC**. He will be very competitive in that class after finishing 3rd there last year with Tim. Soph has had a great season so far with big wins at Camden CIC* and Sydney CNC*.

8th NOVEMBER - MELBOURNE CUP CARNIVAL WINNERS

Limitless Lodge was responsible for producing many winners during the Sydney and Melbourne Spring Carnivals. During the Melbourne Cup Carnival at Flemington, horses spelled and pre-trained at Limitless Lodge were very successful. The headline Group 1 winners were Hurtle Myrtle for trainer Matthew Smith and Albert The Fat for trainer Chris Waller. Other Group winners during the week from our farm included Vintedge, Ironstein and Combat Kitty

3rd OCTOBER - WEEKEND WINNERS FROM LIMITLESS LODGE

The Verminator headlined the weekend winners from the farm by winning the Group 1 The Metropolitan Handicap at Randwick for Chris Waller. The Verminator was broken in and is always pretrained at Limitless Lodge. Hawk Island ran 2nd to The Verminator and he was pretrained this preparation on the aquacizer at Limitless Lodge.

My Kingdom of Fife won the Group 2 Craven Plate for trainer Chris Waller on Saturday at Randwick. This beautiful horse was pretrained on the aquacizer and in the dressage arena, as we often do for Chris. At this stage, he is heading towards a start in the Cox Plate in 3 weeks. http://cwallerracing.com/

Definitely Ready won for trainer Mark Kavanagh at Mooney Valley on Friday night. Definitely Ready was pretrained at Limitless Lodge for Mark, following a successful tie back operation at Randwick Equine Centre. http://randwickequine.com.au

Core Purpose won for team Hawkes at Newcastle on Saturday by a very convincing 5.5 lengths. Core Purpose was broken in and always pretrains at Limitless Lodge. http://www.hawkesracing.com.au

In Hong Kong, Limitless Lodge was responsible for 2 winners on the big program at Sha Tin on Saturday. The first winner was Chancellor, trained by Tony Cruz. Chancellor was known at the farm as Fastnet Rock/Glitzy Guru prior to being sold to Hong Kong by John Camelliri. This was a beautiful colt that was trained in Sydney by Gai Waterhouse before being sold to Hong Kong. Chancellor was broken in, spelled and pretrained at Limitless Lodge. He looks to have a big future in Hong Kong.

Also in Hong Kong,  Xi Ying Men won for trainer Y S Tsui in a Class 4. Xi Ying Men was known at the farm as Catbird/Rippling Mill. This horse was prepared as part of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Subscription Draft and was taken over by Tim and his team at the beginning of 2010. The star of that Subscription Draft so far is Captain Sweet (Fastnet Rock/Strega) who makes his return to racing in the next fortnight.
