20th March - HONG KONG JOCKEY CLUB INTERNATIONAL SALE BREAKS NEW RECORDS
The HKJC International Sale always produces a first class catalogue of the best pedigrees, best prepared and best vetted horses from all over the world. Twenty horses from Australia, New Zealand, America and Europe flew into HK a month before the sale to be prepared to breeze up a week before the sale. Tim's team from Australia was only quite small this year but still produced outstanding results, with the Fastnet Rock/Gina Lollawitcha gelding selling for $HK 7 million ($AUS 920,000) and the Anabaa/Ellista gelding selling for $HK 6 million ($AUS 780,000). Recent horses produced by Tim and his team at Limitless Lodge to win in HK include Captain Sweet, Real Supreme, Legend Express, The Prince, Algarve and Taverner. Already the HKJC have 10 yearlings and 5 two year olds ready to go up for the sale in March 2012.
8th March - HORSES IN HONG KONG FOR INTERNATIONAL SALE
Tim has sent a team of 5 horses that are now currently based in quarantine at Sha Tin in preparation for the international sale on March 19. These horses were all purchased at yearling sales in 2009/10, and prepared at Limitless Lodge to breeze up and be paraded to potential buyers at the Hong Kong Jockey Club International Sale. Horses taken to Hong Kong by Tim and his team have enjoyed many recent wins.
The horse currently showing the most potential is Captain Sweet, trained by John Moore. This gelding by Fastnet Rock has the great record of 6 starts for 4 wins and 2 seconds. Captain Sweet was taken by Tim to Hong Kong this time last year. The three 2 year olds that we will be selling this year are by Fastnet Rock, Anabaa and Encosta De Lago. The two 3 year olds we have are by Elusive Quality and Encosta De Lago. With all the recent success of HKIS graduates this is expected to be a very strong sale.
7th March - BILLY ELLIOT ON NATIONAL EVENTING SQUAD
Tim's best horse has this week been named on the National A Squad in the build up to the London Olympics. This is very exciting for Tim as he feels that this is most possibly his best ever horse and a legitimate contender for London. We will manage his competition calendar carefully, with the medium term goal of Melbourne CCI*** in June 2011. On the way there he will compete at Albury CIC*** at the end of March followed by Sydney CIC-W*** and Camden CIC***. Tim has previously been listed on Australian Squads with Limitless, Waratah, Kildonan Tug, Kanandah Alchemy, Phantom Pursuit and Starway.
6th March - WEEKEND WINNERS FROM LIMITLESS LODGE
Another successful weekend of racing from graduates of Limitless Lodge. In the Group 3 Liverpool City Cup, Triple Elegance won for trainer Chris Waller and jockey Jim Cassidy. Triple Elegance will now be targeted towards the Doncaster 1600m at Randwick for which he will be a legitimate lightweight chance. Triple Elegance was broken in, spelled and pre trained at Limitless Lodge.
At Newcastle, the 3/4 brother to triple Melbourne Cup winning mare, Makybe Diva was successful for Team Hawkes and Patinack Farm. Like Maule's Creek(Redoute's Choice/Bramble Rose), who was also successful during the week, Shadowofexcellence was broken in and prepared to race at Limitless Lodge following the 2009 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale.
