JUNE 28 - WEEKEND WINNERS FROM LIMTLESS LODGE
Super filly Melito won the final Group 1 race of the season, The Winter Stakes, and brought the total of Group 1 winners produced by Limitless Lodge in season 2009/10 to 10 (out of a possible 68). This super tough, robust filly was sent to us by trainer Gerald Ryan and owners Reavill Farm after being knocked down for $600,000 at the Sydney Inglis Easter Sale to be broken in. She has been a star from the begining and will now have a well earned spell and head towards the end of the Melbourne Spring Carnival.
We Betcha won the fillies and mares race at Randwick on Saturday for the famous Ingham family and trainer Chris Waller. She was spelling and pre-training at Limitless Lodge prior to this current campaign and has shown good improvement at each run this preparation.
Altered Boy won for trainer Chris Waller and long term supporters Kerry and Jenny Pooley. This fellow has been at Limitless Lodge from the begining and was broken in, and is always spelled and pre-trained at the farm. Altered Boy relished the wet track, the step up to 1600m and the return to Randwick. Many more wins in the coming months for this lovely horse.
Another one of our favourite horses, Pay And Play, won at Hawkesbury on the weekend first up after a long spell for trainer Chris Waller and prominant owner Peter Horwitz. Pay And Play was recovering from a bowed tendon and has been on the aquacizer at Limitless Lodge for 8 weeks prior to this preparation. This horse has got the best attitude and we were delighted that he could win first up after such a bad injury.
Super Genki won for trainer Tony Cruz at Sha Tin on Sunday 27th June over 1600m. Super Genki was bought by Limitless Lodge's biggest client, The Hong Kong Jockey Club and was broken in, spelled and prepared for the Hong Kong International Sale at the farm prior to export in December 2006. His prizemoney is now almost $AUS700,000 after 6 wins in Hong Kong.
June 23rd – EVENTING CALENDAR PLANS
After a busy first half of the eventing season and the mid-season goal (Melbourne 3 Day Event) behind us it is now time to re-asses and plan for the run into Adelaide International 3 Day Event in November and Lakes and Craters 3 Day Event in early December.
Untouchable, who has had a remarkable start to the year will remain in 2 star until the end of the season. He has only just turned 6 and we are in no rush with him. He will commence 3 star in early 2011. GV Billy Elliot will have 3 more 2 star starts, after a slightly disappointing Melbourne, and then have his first 3 star start at Kooralbyn in early August. Mercator Du Ry has recovered well from his injury and is now back in full work and will compete from September onwards in 2 star until the end of the season.
The next events we will be going to will be Quirindi CIC, Sydney mid-week CNC and Sydney weekend CIC. We will then be going to Kooralbyn on August 7/8 as our final lead up to Sydney International 3 Day Event, August 26-28.
June 21st - WEEKEND WINNERS FROM LIMITLESS LODGE
In the first race at Rosehill on Saturday 19th June, First Look winning for trainer Chris Waller and owners Kerry and Jenny Pooley was a great result. First Look is a filly we have had a long association with from the beginning of her career. She was broken in at the farm and always spells and pre-trains with us. Before this current racing preparation she was on the aquacizer for ten weeks recovering from a potentially career ending injury. Based on her return to form on Saturday she looks destined to be a Stakes winner.
Also for trainer Chris Waller, Triple Elegance was broken in, spelled and pre-trained at Limitless Lodge. This horse won race 3 at Rosehill on Saturday in the manner of a horse that will be big news come Spring Carnival time.
In Ipswich on their strong Cup day program, Rainbow Styling won the first race for Michael, Wayne and John Hawkes and owner Nick Moraitis. Rainbow Styling is a lovely style of horse that will definitely be heading to the Melbourne Spring Carnival. He is a fast stayer that will be suited up to 2000m. He was pre-trained at Limitless Lodge before both his most recent preparations.
The Eye Liner Stakes (Group 3) was won by Adnacon for trainer Gerald Ryan. This lovely, quiet and unassuming gelding spelled at Limitless Lodge after the Magic Millions Queensland carnival. He did spectacularly well during his spell and was also pre-trained at the farm before returning to Gerald. He has now had 3 runs this preparation for 3 wins.
Rounding out the winners was Telecom Go Go for trainer Casper Fownes and jockey Brett Prebble at Happy Valley, Hong Kong. This was an amazing day for Casper and Brett who both had 6 winners. Telecom Go Go was spelled and pre-trained at Limitless Lodge prior to his departure to Hong Kong.
June 14th – MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL 3 DAY EVENT
Melbourne 3 day event was a mixed bag of fortune for Tim and his 2 horses – GV Billy Elliot and Untouchable. Both were disappointing in the dressage but were close enough to the lead. Cross Country was a new day and both horses went super and were clear (Untouchable clear time and GV Billy Elliot 10 time). In the showjumping Billy was super tense and had 2 down, and Untouchable jumped great and just had the last fence down. Untouchable finished 3rd in the CCI** and GV Billy Elliot finished 15th.

June 3rd – AQUACIZER WINNERS FROM LIMITLESS LODGE
There have been many winners to have benefited from the use of the Aquacizer at Limitless Lodge, including Rangirangdoo, Shellscrape, Hurtle Myrtle and Dealer Principal. In the last 7 days two important winners have done a lot of their build up to success on the aquacizer – Press Day (Chris Waller) and Delago Star (Kim Waugh). The staff at Limitless Lodge always get a special thrill to see these horses win.
June 1st – MELBOURNE 3DE PREPARATIONS
It is 7 days now until the truck roles out the gate for Werribee, the home of the Melbourne International 3DE. Tim will be riding 2 horses both at CCI** - the well preformed but relatively inexperienced 6yo Untouchable and the more established GV Billy Elliot. Billy has recovered from his set back that forced him to miss two important lead up runs at Sydney and Camden.

May 29th - GRAND ARMEE AT THE PARADE OF CHAMPIONS
Grand Armee was one of 4 racing legends to parade at Royal Randwick on Saturday 29th of May to commemorate the 150th anniversary of racing at Randwick. “Grandy” was joined by other racing legends; Might and Power, Saintly and Racing To Win. He was proudly led by Amir Attaollahi, one of the barn managers and riders at Limitless Lodge. It was a wonderful celebration and Grandy and the other stars were quite at home in the spotlight.

May 23rd – EVENTING EQUESTRIAD AT CAMDEN
This event in only its second year has proved a major success with big classes competing for good prize money in a wonderful setting. The brainchild of Shane Rose and Nikki Chapman is growing to be one of our leading events after only 2 years. All the best horses and riders from the East Coast were present with Kevin McNab winning the CIC*** riding Belcam Caesar to a narrow win from Chris Burton and HP Leilani with the event host Shane Rose 3rd on his exciting young horse Taurus. In the CIC** Chris Burton was successful on his very talented horse Haruzac to narrowly defeat Rachel Lee and Hunter Hill and Tim on Untouchable.

May 9th – SYDNEY WEEKEND OF WORLD CUPS
Beautiful weather and interesting new tracks greeted the riders for the first big eventing show of the year. Showjumping was critical in the CIC*** with Australia’s leading 2 riders, battling for places at this year’s World Championships team, having a tense finale. Chris Burton rode beautifully on his not always reliable showjumper, HP Leilani, to coax one of only 3 clears to put the pressure on Australia’s darling Megan Jones and her star, Kirby Park Irish Jester. Megan’s horse unluckily had the back rail of an oxer down to deliver victory for Chris and HP Leilani. In the CIC** Clarke Johnstone (NZ) and KS Secrets held on for victory over Tim and Untouchable, followed by Shane Rose and Star Am I.

May 3rd – BADMINTON INTERNATIONAL HORSE TRIALS
In one of the most stunning performances by an Australian eventer abroad, Paul Tapner has defeated all of the world’s best horses and riders to win the most prestigious 3DE in the world on Inonothing. In his famous red colours, Paul held his nerve in the showjumping to jump one of only very few clear rounds and hold on to his overnight lead in less than ideal weather conditions. Second went to Andreas Dibowski (Euroridings Butts Leon) and Daisy Dick (Spring Along). Paul also finished tenth on Stormhill Michael and Bill Levett for Australia rode Hippolyte into 7th. Along with Sam Griffiths (winner of Belton CIC*** and Chatsworth CIC-W***), these 3 guys are in great shape to represent Australia at Kentucky. The 3 leading Australian based riders appear to be Megan Jones (Kirby Park Irish Jester), Chris Burton (HP Leilani) and Stuart Tinney (Vettori).

May 2nd - QUIRINDI HORSE TRIALS HOLDS FIRST 2 STAR
Quirindi Horse Trials were delighted to receive a quality field for the first running of a 2 star (CNC**) competition. Quirindi’s small committee is headed by Vicky (secretary/scorer) and Daryll Burgess (course designer). It was a great weekend in the country with beautiful weather and a great surface on which to gallop. Tim was the eventual winner on GV Billy Elliot from Chris Burton (Haruzac) and Shane Rose (Koko Black). Christine Bates continued her dominate form on the very impressive Adelaide Hill from Sophie Adams (Tim’s girlfriend) riding Tainui Lad and Sam Lyle riding Foxdale Amalfi.
