16th August - WEEKEND WINNERS FROM LIMTLESS LODGE
We Betcha won again for Chris Waller and the Inghams over 1400m at Rosehill. This filly has improved out of sight this preparation and will more than likely head towards black type races in the early Spring. We Betcha was spelled and pre-trained at Limitless Lodge prior to this preparation.
Winter King won again for David Payne over 1100m in the main sprint race of the day and just defeated his stablemate, Centennial Park. Both these horses were broken in, spelled and pre-trained at Limitless Lodge. Winter King in particular has really benefited from being gelded this time in work and there will certainly be many more sprint wins in him this time. Centennial Park, burdened with a big weight, got home particularly well at his first run for the new season and will be suited in races up to a mile.
Panipique won for trainer Peter Moodyand prominant owner Stuart Ramsey at Caufield over 1100m at Listed level. This was an exciting win for Stuart and Turangga Farm as she was a home bred from the good mare Our Quivera, and she was able to defeat the Golden Slipper winner from last season, Crystal Lilly. Like all of Stuart Ramsey's horses she was broken in by Tim at Limitless Lodge and before each preparation she pre-trains at the farm. Stuart is a very big supporter of Limitless Lodge and we look forward to him having a great season with his biggest and best bunch of babies.
13th August - RACING'S NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS
Melito, trained by Gerald Ryan to win 2 Group 1s and place in several others was crowned Horse Of The Year 2009/10. Melito was broken in at Limitless Lodge and we are very proud of her many successes including this great honour. Several other category winners were broken in, spelled and pre-trained at Limitless Lodge including Rangirangdoo, Press Day and Jessicabeel.
9th August - WEEKEND WINNERS FROM LIMTLESS LODGE
Slow The Flow for trainer Matthew Smith was a very impressive winner for prominent owner Gerry Harvey at Randwick on Saturday over 1200m. This filly was quite stunning in coming from the rear of the field in a high class race which will turn out to be a strong form reference for the Spring. Slow The Flow was having only her 3rd start in a race and her record now boasts 2 wins. Following her first preparation she spent 3 weeks on the aquacizer at Limitless Lodge before returning to Matthew and winning first up after the freshen up.
2nd August - WEEKEND WINNERS FROM LIMTLESS LODGE
Saturday was a great day for graduates of Limitless Lodge with our farm responsible for producing the winners of half of the program at Rosehill.
Empire Place was a convincing winner for trainer David Payne over 1100m. This is a very big horse that has been plagued by knee problems throughout his career. The wet track and an uncontested lead played into his hands. Empire Place was broken in at Limtless Lodge and always spells at the farm between preparations.
Flaming Rock won over 1400m to bring up at double for David Payne. This expensive son of Fastnet Rock is now starting to return some of his purchase price ($AUS610,000 - Australian Inglis Easter Sale) for his loyal owners Ron Medich and Les Samba.
We Betcha won the fillies/mares race over 1400m for Chris Waller and the Ingham Family in the all cerise. This mare has had a very succesful campaign with many placings and now 2 wins. She is starting to realise her potential now and will target races into the early Spring. We Betcha spelled and pre-trained before this preparation at Limitless Lodge.
Altered Boy won over 1500m to bring up a double for Chris Waller. Altered Boy is a favourite at Limitless Lodge and it was good to see him win again for his owners Kerry and Jenny Pooley. The Pooleys have had a wonderful run recently with not only Altered Boy but Key West and First Look winning during July in town. Their best horse might be yet to come, in the form of Great Heart-a half brother to Altered Boy and a full brother to Key West (by Tale Of The Cat). Altered Boy was broken in and always spells and pre-trains at Limitless Lodge.
